After really working in those fields for a while, I found it really doesn't suit me. I've long had an interest in computer networking, and have been especially interested in security. Once I get some certs down, I'm thinking about self employment in web design or something like that, until I get enough certs to get in with the VA and receive tuition reimbursement. Right now I am trying to get into self employed network installations and security for small businesses. I've got a couple businesses I'm working towards establishing a business relationship with, and have already done my first cafe. However right now, I am still trying to build a reputation and am mainly bartering my services. I have a wonderful kid who I unofficially have majority custody of. This means a lot of the money I do have coming in goes towards both my ex-wife and my kid. A lot of my time goes towards my kid or studying, even right now before classes start. I study and tinker with computers a lot. I don't generally drink, and when I do it is generally light. Sometimes I smoke and sometimes I don't. Eventually I'd like to quit for good. Currently I am quitting all over again. I don't want to be around drugs, even pot. I really don't party, outside kid's birthday parties. However I love disc golf and am surprisingly active for a chubby man. I've lost a lot of weight since my divorce, and I'm pretty much down to just keeping up my progress and needing to stay off the friggin' addictive ciggies. I'm a pretty smart guy. I graduated summa cum laude from WMU. I like to keep up on politics and moderately lean left. I am relentless in pursuing a better life for myself and my son. I enjoy self study, and am fairly well autodidactiy educated on a wide array of topics. Computer security though is extra fascinating and has been since I was a soldier. When the military found out about my interest, they gave me extra training on Bradley (a recon tank) computers. My current aim to turn this long time interest in computer security and crime into a career is solid. I've been applying for scholarships and financial aid and have already been guaranteed $ x , x a year scholarship and enough of a loan to live on. There is also full ride I applied for that I hear back on in July. My application was pretty professional, and I am optimistic about it. Ultimately I am interested in cyberwarfare, computer crime, and surveillance. I would love to work for the NSA, and have currently managed to get on the mailing list for the Taliban and for a while I had access to private forums on other terrorist websites to study the social psychology and communications. I am dieting and eat a diet consisting of fruit and salads, with an occasional piece of lean meat. I at least do a lot of walking every day, but also have been hitting the weight bench. I'd like to find someone to get healthy with and do mild to moderate exercise. Disc golfing would make a great date for me. Once we get to know each other, I'd like to come up with new creative ways to satisfy our taste buds that are still super healthy. Prog rock is also wonderful. I also really like virtuoso, classical piano and guitar, and symphonic music. I can be down with some blue grass, the blues and R&B. Country I really just listen to after a break up. However, I'll tolerate anything. In the end though, my passion (and it is truly a passion) is definitely progressive and neoclassical metal. They aren't even my xxx very favorite bands (Savatage and Dream Theater,) but he still completely takes after his dad. He's just got some great taste, though he can also grove on some Barney.
